As in the founding idea of the city of Solothurn, bridges are also being built here. The aim is to maintain a sustainable symbiosis between the location, population, nature and economy, thereby creating added value for all living spaces.

The characteristics of the site are shaped by the clash of different building zones, scales and architectural styles. The varied topography and the ruderal vegetation of today's wasteland lend the site a special uniqueness. In combination with the historic villa, this exciting context is a source of inspiration and a source of ideas for the urban development of the site.

In the second half of 2021, an invitation-only study was carried out with three planning teams for the planned residential development with condominiums. The polygonal buildings of the winning project are designed as four-span structures. The chosen building shape and the different angled placement of the buildings prevent the individual facades and apartments from facing each other from the front. All apartments benefit from different views into and out of the development as well as a high degree of privacy and optimal orientation.
